Beautiful, sleek and prowling, fierce and aggressive - the most powerful of them all.

Panther is a former Great Britain discus thrower having competed in the UK Championships and the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006. She has previously been ranked first in England and second in Great Britain. Panther also plays women's rugby and her job before becoming a Gladiator was a Children's day nursey manager.

What are your memories of the original series of Gladiators?
I always think of athletic women and strong role models, I always wanted to be on it. It was really energetic and had a great feeling, there was such an adrenaline rush from watching it and I always wanted to re-create it, but used to get told off.

Who was your favourite Gladiator?
I always like the men because they were more aggressive and had more character. I liked Cobra because he was funny and Shadow was scary. My favourite female Gladiators would have been Lightning and Jet.

What qualities does a Gladiator need?
Agility, athleticism, strength and good team spirit.

What can the audience expect from Panther?
Strength and speed. I want to be the undefeated Gladiator.

Do you have any words of warning for the Contenders?
Just bring it. Bring it.

Which events are you most looking forward to?
Earthquake, Duel, Pyramid and Powerball - all the speed and strength events.

What's a Gladiator's ideal breakfast?
You can't beat a bowl of porridge.

If you were an animal what would you be?
A horse or a tiger, something fast and strong. A panther!
