Gladiators: The Legends Return. Sunday, 31st August 8pm on Sky One.
Eight legendary Gladiators from the classic series return to the brand new Arena to take on the new Gladiators team in a spectacular showdown for a special episode.
Lightning, Hunter, Rebel, Trojan, Rocket, Ace, Flame and Wolf donned their lycra costumes and dusted off their pugil sticks to clash against the likes of Tempest, Spartan, Panther, Atlas to prove just who is best in the arena...
LIGHTNING
COMPETED: 1992 - 1999
Lightning last competed in 1999 for Gladiators: The Final Showdown. She is the longest serving female Gladiator and was with the show for its entire run. Her gymnastic abilities made her a force to be reckoned with in almost every event, especially Hang Tough where she was regarded as 'Queen of the Rings' and was only beaten once.

HUNTER
COMPETED: 1993 - 2000
Hunter was officially crowned 'The Ultimate Gladiator' when he faced his fellow male Gladiators for a final series 'The Battle Of The Giants' special. He mastered every event but his specialities were The Wall and Duel. How will he fare when he faces new Gladiator Spartan on Duel?

REBEL
COMPETED: 1996 - 1999
The rampaging Rebel, a former international athlete, was a force to be reckoned with in the Gladiators arena. With her positive attitude and loud personality she was unstoppable on Gauntlet, Powerball and Pendulum but especially The Wall in which she was only ever beaten once. How will she cope being the prey rather than the Gladiator?

TROJAN
COMPETED: 1993 - 1996
Trojan, a former Action Man, returns to Gladiators after 12 years, flying in especially from L.A. During his Gladiators career he was unbeaten on Joust and excelled in Powerball and Duel. Will he prove to be as mighty in the new Gladiators Arena?

ROCKET
COMPETED: 1997 - 1998
Blasting back into the Gladiators arena is Rocket. She was excellent all-round Gladiator in the original series, proving to have the aggression, power, speed and agility to defeat many Contenders in Duel, Powerball and Pendulum. She could be competiting in brand new event Earthquake, will she still have the force to be victorious?

ACE
COMPETED: 1996 - 2000
Ace, the leader of the pack, was strong but agile, fit and focused. He was also a runner-up to Hunter in 'The Battle Of The Giants' Gladiators special, proving he definitely has what it takes to be a true Gladiator. Now he's back, raring to go and definitely has a trick up his sleeve...

FLAME
COMPETED: 1992 - 1993
Flame hasn't competed in Gladiators for more than 15 years. As one of the 12 original Gladiators she competed in a variety of events including Atlaspheres, Hang Tough, Swingshot and Duel. She was fiercely competitive back in the first series in 1992, will she still have the same attitude to take on the new team of female Gladiators?

WOLF
COMPETED: 1992 - 1999
The most popular Gladiator of all time is back! Flying in all the way from New Zealand, the big, bad Wolf-man returns to the Gladiators arena to see his old friend and foe, referee John Anderson! He also wants to sqaure up to new bad boy Oblivion to show that he'll always be the best! Who will prove to be the baddest Gladiator in the Arena?
