Gladiators Zone - Gladiators Reunion

BBC RADIO 1 REUNION SHOW

On Thursday 13th April and Friday 14th April 2006, BBC Radio 1 successfully reunited the Gladiators!

DJ's Colin and Edith (also known as Infernal and Girder) set up a 2 week nationwide campagin to track down the mighty Gladiators. They recieved a huge response from the general public and managed to track down the following Gladiators: Ace (Warren Furman), Amazon (Sharron Davies), Blaze (Eunice Huthart), Cobra (Mick Willson), Hawk (Aleks Georgijev), Hunter (James Crossley), Jet (Diane Youdale), Rhino (Mark Smith), Scorpio (Nikki Diamond) and Warrior (Michael Ahearne). They even managed to complete the awesome line-up by speaking to referee John Anderson all the way from Spain!

Paul Noddings from the Gladiators Zone (as pictured with Jet in the gallery) was kindly invited along to the reunion show as Colin and Edith grilled the Gladiators about what they had been up too since the show ended. They also had a good old reminisce about what had kept viewers glued to their TV screens watching Gladiators every Saturday night for 8 years.

SPORTSMANIA EVENT

On the 23rd June 2007, Gladiators Rhino, Scorpio and Hunter reunited yet again at thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes as part of their SportsMania event. Panther was also due to attend but sadly missed the event due to being ill. Gladiators Timekeeper Derek Redmond and Train 2 Win host Kyran Bracken were also some of the other special guests. A fantastic time was had by all, thanks SportsMania.

REUNION SHOW DAY 1

BBC Radio 1's Colin and Edith spoke exclusively via the telephone to Gladiators Amazon, Blaze (Eunice Huthart) and the mighty Warrior.

REUNION SHOW DAY 2

John Anderson called the show while Colin and Edith managed to fit seven Gladiators (Ace, Cobra, Hawk, Hunter, Jet, Rhino and Scorpio) into the studio for a chat.
